September is here, and this month on Align, we’re doing something completely new.
For the first time, you can choose between two monthly challenges based on how you want to move and what you want to focus on:
The Pilates Challenge
Choose the Pilates Challenge if you want a more mindful, sculpt-focused approach combining Pilates, deep core work and low-impact strength.
This challenge is designed to help you:
Strengthen your deep core
Sculpt your abs and waist
Improve posture
Lift and strengthen the glutes
Tone the legs
Feel more connected to your body
The Strength Challenge
Choose the Strength Challenge if you’re ready to challenge yourself with heavier resistance and progressively build strength.
This calendar includes new strength-focused classes designed to:
Build lean muscle
Strengthen and define the body
Challenge the glutes, legs, arms and core
Introduce heavier weights into your routine
Improve overall strength and athleticism
You’ll still find Pilates, sculpt and mat classes throughout the Strength Challenge to help keep your training balanced.
Or Combine Both
You can also move between the two calendars depending on your energy, goals or where you are in your cycle.
For those who enjoy cycle syncing, you may choose to follow the Strength Challenge during the follicular and ovulatory phases, then move to the Pilates Challenge during the luteal and menstrual phases.
There is no single right way to complete September. Choose the calendar that feels best for your body, mix the two together or move between them throughout the month.
Alongside the challenges, we’ll also be sharing new classes, training guidance and helpful tips through the Align App Instagram, including:
When to begin lifting heavier
How to get more from your Pilates workouts
How to use your breath to improve core strength and stability
Guidance for choosing the right challenge
September is your opportunity to reset, build momentum and move into the final part of the year feeling stronger, more connected and more confident in your body.
