Day 3 is our first cardio blast of the challenge!! I love low impact cardio because it's sweaty and energising. We use our muscles to get our heart rate up, which makes this the perfect mix of fat-burning cardio and toning. Today's class is all about targeting the waist aka our inner obliques.
There is a LOT of twisting going on today. An added benefit of this is that it's very detoxifying so will help us sweat out any water retention or toxins. Drink lots of water during and after this class.
FORM TIPS: I want you to really think about your posture and spinal alignment, think of lengthening from crown of head to tailbone and ensure that as you twist your neck and head follow the motion your torso is doing. Exhale each time you twist and think of pulling your belly button to spine - don't over think this but please make sure you're breathing!!
EQUIPMENT: light hand weights 1 - 2 lbs. are totally optional
