Hello my love!! Welcome to your strongest era!!
This challenge has truly been on my heart for a while. It’s designed to help you build strength with intention, incorporate heavier weights, and feel powerful in your body — in a way that still feels aligned, feminine, and deeply Pilates-based.
If you’ve been craving that next-level shift… this is it.
STRONGER has been created to intentionally layer in heavier weights to help you create your strongest body in a way that still feels very Align. It's all about making strength training approachable and with our Pilates principles at the foundation of each class.
When we add weight strategically, we can:
• Lift and shape your glutes
• Sculpt abs and arms with visible tone
• Define your legs and thighs
• Support metabolism and hormonal health
• Break through plateaus and finally see that shift
And the best part? The confidence shift happens before the physical one.
This program is about stepping into your strength.Feeling powerful in your body.Trusting yourself with more resistance. And proving to yourself that you can do hard things.
If you loved Align + Define, you are going to love STRONGER.
Now let’s talk about whether the March Workout Calendar or STRONGER is right for you this month — and answer your FAQs below 🤍
SHOULD I FOLLOW STRONGER OR THE MARCH CALENDAR?
STRONGER is for our angels who are ready to build serious strength in a way that feels empowering, strong, and still very Align. We incorporate heavier weights strategically to help you get lean, toned, and build muscle, while keeping that feminine, Pilates-based feel you love. If you’re craving that next-level shift in your body and your confidence — follow STRONGER.
The March Calendar is your balanced monthly plan with a mix of sculpt, mat, stretch, and strength. You can absolutely complete the workouts using lighter weights to keep things more mindful and sculpt-focused. If you want more lengthening, balance and restorative movement follow the March Calendar.
ANSWERING YOUR STRONGER FAQS
What equipment are you using?
I’m using a range of 3, 5, and 8 lb weights in the new STRONGER workouts. I’ve linked all of the equipment I use below in case you’d like to incorporate it into your workouts this month.
Can I still do STRONGER if I don't have heavier weights?
Yes, of course. You do not need heavier weights to get an incredible workout or to build strength. They’re simply a tool to help you advance if you’re ready to take things to the next level. If you’re newer to Align or to our Strength classes, I actually recommend starting lighter while you build strength and refine your form and technique.
Can I add heavier weights to the other classes?
Yes. In the STRONGER classes, we don’t use heavier weights the entire time. You’ll see how I strategically layer them into specific exercises and sequences so you can confidently incorporate them into other workouts within the challenge calendar.
How do I know when to lift heavier?
You want to feel challenged while still maintaining proper form and control. A good rule of thumb: if you can complete every rep with strong technique and feel like you still have more to give, that’s a great sign it may be time to increase your resistance.
How often should I add in heavier weights to my workouts?
This depends on your goals. If your goal is building muscle and strength, 2–3 strength-focused classes per week (like in the STRONGER calendar) is perfect.
If your goal is more lengthening and sculpting, 1–2 heavier days per week (like in the March Calendar) is a great balance.
Can I build strength if I just want to do Pilates?
Absolutely. There’s a narrative I really dislike that lifting super heavy is the only way to build strength — and it simply isn’t true. We use many forms of progressive overload inside Align that do not rely on just adding weight.
For example:
• Increasing reps
• Increasing time under tension
• Advancing exercise sequences
• Add isometric holds and pulses
• Improve control and mind–muscle connection
• Layer in additional equipment (bands, sliders, ankle weights)
Strength is built through intentional progression — not just heavier dumbbells.
And I always say… anyone who thinks Pilates isn’t strength training definitely isn’t doing the same Pilates we're doing ;)
That being said, our Strength workouts are such an amazing compliment to our mat and sculpt styles. I am so excited for you to try these new workouts and see how good it feels to get STRONGER.
